Sinds 2 september 2007, de dag dat we onze eigen KANEpromoladies.com aan julie voorstelden, tot en met vandaag - vrijdag 30 Januari 2009 - zijn er hier al 30.000 unieke bezoekers een kijkje komen nemen! En dat zijn bezoekers uit eigen land, België, maar ook uit de rest van Europa en zelfs van ver over de oceaan… Gewoon kei tof dat er zoveel interesse in KANE is!
Van deze ladies BEDANKT voor het vertrouwen in onze nieuwsgeving via de site, de vele leuke vragen en berichtjes in onze mailbox en het net als ons altijd zo intens genieten van de muziek van KANE..

And these visitors come from our own country, Belgium, but also from other European countries and even from far across the ocean… It’s just so awesome that so many of you want to know more about KANE!

KANE live in Venlo!

Het evenementenbureau Big Hands Events liet ons vandaag weten dat KANE op 12 juni as. een spectaculair concert zal geven op het nieuwe evenemententerrein in Blerick, Nederland. Naast ontelbare hits en optredens in binnen- en buitenland, staat deze superband ook bekend om haar sensationele shows tijdens hun concerten. In het voorprogramma zullen de, van het RTL5 programma Rock Nation, bekende band STEREO staan en de regionale rockers van Cooper inc. Locatie: Kazerne terrein Venlo-Blerick | Kaarten € 25,- (excl. vvk fee). Voorverkoop start nu Zaterdag via www.ticketplaats.nl

KANE on stage!

Dutch event organizer Big Hands Events announced today KANE will perform on the 12th of June at a brand New event site in Blerick, the Netherlands. Next to numerous chart hits and concerts in the Netherlands and abroad, this band is known for their sensational shows during their concerts. Opening acts are, know for their performance at the RTL5 program Rock Nation, the band STEREO and hometown rockers Cooper inc. Location: former army site Venlo-Blerick, the Netherlands | tickets will cost € 25,- (excl. vvk fee). Pre-sale starts this Saturday on www.ticketplaats.nl

Nadat wij en een paar andere KANE fansites jullie al opriepen om te stemmen op KANE staat op de KANE hyves nu ook een oproep van Dinand en Dennis om dit te doen:
Hi guys, Er kan weer gestemd worden!! Op de website van Radio/TV West staan meerdere van onze singles in het rijtje van de genomineerden om gedraaid te worden in de top 500 tussen 6 en 9 februari. Stemmen kan tot 31 januari. En, wat we heel kicke vinden, we staan vernoemd met de gig in de ARENA in 2003 op de website van 50 jaar nederpop! --- check deze link en de link naar de Radio West stempagina in onze vorige updates
Verder geven de heren ook nog mee dat er nu ook 8 backstage filmpjes online staan op het KANE official YouTube channel die eerder alleen te zien waren via de OPENDISC CD EVERYTHINGYOUWANT.

Votes can be send in until the 31th of January. Radio West Top 500 & Zeroes Request

En omdat we weten dat we Dennis met een oproep tot stemmen op zijn eigen favoriet bandje altijd blij kunnen maken: Uw stemmen graag!
Bij het Nederlandse radiostation Radio West is het weer tijd voor de Radio West Top 500. En in deze keuzelijst staan natuurlijk een aantal KANE tracks! Dus we rekenen op ook dit jaar weer op jullie stem! Meedoen is eenvoudig: stem en motiveer de keuze voor uw regionale nummer 1. De meest originele, pakkende, muzikale of ontroerende motivatie wint de hoofdprijs: 500 uur lang in een Fiat 500. Of win toegangskaartjes voor de finaleuitzending op 8 februari, cd's van regionale artiesten of één van de 500 andere prijzen. Stemmen kan nog tot en met 31 januari via deze pagina . De Radio West Top 500 wordt in het weekend van 6 tot en met 8 februari 2009 uitgezonden op Radio West.
Na de 80’s en 90’s Request op het Nederlandse radiostation 3fm is er nu de 00’s Request (de zeroes Request) . En ook daar kan je op KANE tracks stemmen… hop stemmen op die 5 favoriete KANE tracks via deze pagina dus! De 3fm 00’s Request zal te beluisteren zijn van 13 tot en met 20 februari 2009. Op vrijdag 20 februari van 9.00 tot 18.00 uur hoor je de 00s Request Top 100!

Deze ladies zaten ergens in Berlijn gezellig te doen tot vanochtend en dus grijpen we via deze weg de eerste kans om die Nederlandse über-gitaar-god met attitude (nah beetje) te feliciteren met z’n eum 29ste verjaardag. Helemaal uit het hartje van Antwerpen, België richting euhm waar Dennis ook mag zijn… nog een ietsje late HAPPY BDAY MATE! - wij hebben het alvast stevig gevierd… wij weten U en de fab ladies & gents vast ook ;)

These ladies where having a good old time somewhere in Berlin the past few days so we have got to take this moment we return home to send our best wishes to that Dutch über-guitaar-god with attitude (oh common’ just a little right) on his euhm 29th birthday. All the way from the heart of Antwerp, Belgium straight to euhm wherever Dennis is… a little late but really sincere HAPPY BDAY MATE! - we celebrated it in style and we know You and the lovely ladies & gents did so as well ;)

Is jouw vraag beantwoord?

En er zat weer een KANE OpenDisc nieuwsbrief in onze mailbox gisteravond waarin Dinand en Dennis ff checken of wij en jullie al een antwoord hebben gekregen op onze vragen… Een aantal Belgische fans kregen eind vorig jaar al via deze website de kans om een vraag aan de heren te stellen - check onze The Band Page en de vragen daar - maar nu kan dat dus ook via de EVERYTHINGYOUWANT OpenDisc…. En dat is kicken toch?! Ook toegevoegd op de OpenDisc: een filmpje van het bezoek aan Giel in november (remember de champagne en de christmas song).
Wil je ook op de hoogte gehouden worden van de laatste toevoegingen aan de KANE OpenDisc schrijf je dan simpelweg in door je aan te melden bij het eerste gebruik van deze.

We found another KANE OpenDisc newsletter in our mailbox last night in which Dinand and Dennis check in to make sure you guys got the answers to your questions… At the end of last year a few Belgian fans got the chance on this website to ask a question to the guys - check our The Band Page for that - but now you can all ask a question by using the EVERYTHINGYOUWANT OpenDisc…. And that’s fucking awesome right?! Also added on to the OpenDisc: a recording of the visit at Dutch radio 3fm dj Giel in November (remember the champagne and the christmas song).
Also want to be updated on the New features on the KANE OpenDisc simply get signed up when using the Opendisc.

KANE in canon Nederlandse Popmuziek

Gelezen op de site van Gerard:
Den Haag wordt tien keer genoemd in de 50 Jaar Nederpop Canon. In de lijst, die vandaag werd gepresenteerd op het festival Eurosonic Noorderslag staan de vijftig belangrijkste Nederpopmomenten van de afgelopen 50 jaar. Het publiek kon in totaal uit zestig acts en gebeurtenissen kiezen, waaronder tien Haagse acts. Den Haag is de meest genoemde stad in de canon van de Nederlandse popmuziek. De lijst begint met Andy Tielman (eerste Nederlandse rock-‘n-roll single) en noemt daarna o.a. Den Haag Beatstad nummer 1, Shocking Blue (voor het nummer ‘Venus’), Golden Earring (voor het nummer ‘Radar love’), fotograaf Anton Corbijn, Stars On 45 (van producer Jaap Eggermont), Anouk (het "ei-incident" op Pinkpop 1998) en het Kane-concert in 2003 in de Amsterdam Arena.

Voters could choose from 60 acts and events, including 10 acts from the Hague. The Hague is the city that was the most mentioned in the Dutch Nederpop Canon. KANE @ MNM

Sinds Maandagochtend is België een gloedjenieuw radiostation rijker: MNM. Jong, snel en razend lekker… deze ladies vinden het alvast een aanwist voor onze en jullie oortjes! En wat ook leuk is: sinds Maandag staat ook KANE bij MNM op de playlist, geweldig toch!
Maar het kan altijd beter en meer… dus… stellen we voor om met z’n allen *gezellig gezellig* KANE aan te vragen bij MNM en dat kan op verschillende manieren kijk op de MNM website voor tal van ‘vraag een plaat aan’ mogelijkheden of mail naar de MNM dj’s tijdens hun programma met een vriendelijk KANE plaat verzoekje!

As of early Monday morning Belgium is spoiled with a brand New radiostation: MNM. Young, fast and so delish’… we ladies thinks it’s a real addition to our and your ears! And what’s also great: KANE has been put on the MNM playlist, ain’t that awesome!
But things can also go bolder and better… so… we suggest to request those KANE songs all together *aren’t we cosy people* at MNM and that’s possible in several ways just check the MNM website (in Dutch) on how to request your favourite KANE song or send an email to the MNM dj’s during their show with your friendly KANE song request!

Dinand kijkt terug

Vanavond zat er een nieuwe KANE nieuwsbrief in onze mailbox en deze keer was het een mail van Dinand die net als iedereen zo’n beetje deze dagen terugkijkt op het voorbije jaar. Dinand‘s volledig jaaroverzicht zetten we op onze Netlog pagina en Myspace blog maar we geven hier al een paar hoogtepunten volgens Dinand:
En dus sloten wij het jaar in Londen af, werd het kerst en voor je het wist was het nieuw jaar! Wat wil je nog meer... HAPPY NEW YEAR IEDEREEN... Al het beste voor je gewenst!!! De Highlights van het afgelopen jaar? Mmm... Ik schrijf het eerste wat opkomt; 1. De soundcheck, het spelen en het podium afkomen in De Kuip 2. Spelen voor den Heeren en Dames van de MMS ‘DE ROTTERDAM’ 3. De verovering van Groningen... 4. 1 Januari 2008 Rotterdam met afterfeestje 5. HMH November 2008//Londen December 2008. En met die top 5 in de zak stappen we dit nieuwe jaar in. Veel te doen wel in 2009. We gaan veel spelen, we gaan veel nieuwe songs schrijven in het begin van 2009 en die verderop in het jaar eerst live gaan spelen voordat we de studio in gaan. Dat zou ergens halverwege moeten gaan gebeuren.... Kortom... Net begonnen, maar vol aan de slag met veel nieuwe dingen.
Dat beloofd dus voor 2009... Wij, de KANEpromoladies, hebben er massa’s zin in… jullie toch ook?!

Message from Dinand

Tonight we found a New KANE newsletter in our mailbox and this time it was written by Dinand who, like nearly all of us these days reflects on the past year. Dinand’s entire message can be found on our Myspace and Facebook page (English translation) but we will post some highlights here already :
And so we closed the year in London, christmas time was there and before you knew it there was the new year! What do you want more... HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY... I wish you all the best!!! The Highlights of the past year? Mmm... I’ll write down whatever comes first to mind; 1. The soundcheck, performing at and stepping of the stage at the De Kuip venue 2. Performing for the gentlemen and myladies of the MMS ‘DE ROTTERDAM’ 3. Conquering the city of Groningen... 4. The 1th of January 2008 Rotterdam with an afterparty 5. HMH November 2008//London December 2008. And with that awesome top5 we step into the New year. Lots to do in 2009. We’re going to perform a lot, we’re going to write lots of New songs at the start of 2009 and perform them later on live that year before going into the recording studio. That’s planned somewhere along the year.... So... Just started, but already busy with lots of New stuff.
That sounds gooooooood for 2009... We, the KANEpromoladies, can’t hardly wait… we think you can’t either?!

New album & art

Dinand liet in november 2008 al in een interview met RTL boulevard vallen dat hij en Dennis aan een nieuw album bezig waren en nu komt het Nederlandse magazine Gitarist met een interview waarin Dinand zegt: "eerst nummers schrijven en daar meteen het podium mee op. Daar testen we wat goed werkt en wat niet en dan gaan we pas de studio in." Dennis valt hem bij: "Gewoon weer op tournee langs de grote zalen". En dat lijkt erop dat een try-out tour niet lang op zich zal laten wachten en dat horen deze ladies graag, net als jullie toch! Het volledige interview kan je in Gitarist of op kane-net (her)lezen.
En dan zat er vanochtend naast de nieuwjaars-, kerstwensen- en nog van alles mail een erg leuk youtube filmpje van de pop art kunstenaar Andrea in onze mailbox… talentvol mannetje toch ;)

Dinand mentioned in November 2008 during an interview with RTL boulevard that he and Dennis were working on New material for a New album and now Dutch magazine Gitarist published an interview in which Dinand states: "first we’ve got to write New tracks that we’ll try out on stage. That’s how we can figure out if they are good enough or not and afterwards we take them to a recording studio." Dennis agrees: "We just want to go on tour and perform at the known venues again". Sounds like a try-out tour is on the agenda in the near future for KANE and that’s something we ladies like to hear, just like you guys don’t ya!
